Salamandre 9a+/5.15a
法國好手 Fred Rouhling 完成在法國阿爾卑斯山中的 Salamandre 路線。其中難關是一個一公分左右的手點，難關後有段困難的抱石。

Nose 的紀錄再度被刷新
2008 年七月二日，Yuji Hirayama（平山裕示）和 Hans Florine 創下新的速度紀錄為 2:43:33。先前紀錄為德國 Huber 兄弟：2:45:45，xhz44th 過去一篇介紹 Thomas Huber 的文章。
Alex Huber 得知此消息後恭禧兩人刷新紀錄，但他們兄弟不會再去嘗試寫下新紀錄：「Once in time, Thomas and I had been the fastest on the Nose, and we are happy about this. Thus, it is a finished story for us!」
平山在九月會回到優勝美地拍攝影片，他強調他可以再快一些，所以紀錄有可能再被突破。
